Applications are open for the 2024 Ge-Niigaanizijig Summer Youth Internships!

Eight weeks – June 10 to August 2, 2024; Monday through Thursday; 9:00 am to 3:00 pm

Paid Summer Internships are designed to help students prepare for future careers by building a sound work ethic and forming professional relationships. Some interns may even earn high school credit!

Placements are with Mille Lacs Band Supervisors. Two days a week interns will work with their assigned mentor. One day a week, youth interns will receive job training. Each week, they will also participate in community building activities and outings.

Program Requirements

• Complete Summer Internship Application by April 30th.
• High School or College Student age 16 through 21
• Enrolled in Ge-Niigaanizijig
• Must be currently enrolled in school
• Maintain internship attendance of 85% of scheduled work time or above
• Keep a daily journal
